This pet portrait was done of Chloe, my son and his fiance's  German shepherd. She has a lot of beautiful black markings around her face and ears. Plus her left ear has a little notch from an injury. I think it adds to her personality.

I loved the transparency of the blue vase so that you could see the small silver spoon through the glass. And, the onion was just standing by at attention nearby the tomatoes.  See this small painting and others at my website below:

Oscar the mini dachsund 6x6 inch oil on gessoboard

This is a portrait of a miniature dachshund named "Oscar." He has a lot of energy so I had to shoot my reference photography as he was taking a sun bath and looking out the front door. I like how the sun was shining on his coat.

This painting was from a photograph I took in my kitchen. The afternoon sun was coming in the window and reflecting off the cut glass. I laid one of my blue and white dish towels underneath and it have a blue cast to the whole setting.
